St. Paul's Outreach Trading or S.P.O.T was opened in October 1998 to provide much needed funding for St. Paul's Church, by recycling useable goods at affordable prices. It serves as a valuable ‘window’ for the church in the local community as well as helping to generate income to support our mission.

The shop stocks an array of good quality donated items from clothing, bedding, household items, shoes, bags to DVDs and CDs.

Prices are very reasonable.

There is a daily special offer. This is advertised on a blackboard in the window.

The manager and volunteers are happy to listen and chat with our customers.

New volunteers are always welcome; please contact SPOT Manager.

Beechcroft St Paul’s CE VA Primary school

'A caring Christian family with a love of learning at its heart.'

Beechcroft St Paul’s became a Voluntary Aided Church of England school in September 2003. Since that time the school has grown in Anglican ethos, demonstrated on a daily basis through acts of collective worship, and the ethos and spirituality that pervade the school.

The school encourages an understanding of the meaning and significance of faith and promotes Christian values through the experiences and opportunities it offers.

The school is very proud of the strong links with St Paul’s church. Throughout the year the children, staff and the congregation jointly celebrate seasons, life events and special times in the life of the school and the church.

Re-cycled Teenagers

We are a group of over 60s who meet at St Paul’s church hall. Our ages range from 60 to 94 years. We call ourselves St Paul’s Recycled Teenagers.

Our meetings are held 1.45pm – 4.00pm every Wednesday afternoon, with the aim being for people to socialise and find friendship. Our activities start with a social chat and a look at our bring and buy sale. Also, a look at our notice board to read the latest information. We then have a game of bingo, after which we have a cup of tea or squash and a biscuit break. Then we have a quiz, a raffle and a numbers draw where if lucky one picks a number and could win a money prize, we then continue with a game of bingo.

We have extra monthly activities, coach trips, for example to a meal and show in the New Forest, a trip to Bourton-on-the-Water and a meal at the Crown Hotel for Christmas. We have been to Longleat, on a mystery tour, a canal trip on the Kennet & Avon, Babbacombe Model Village and Torquay, world of country life.

We have some members who tell us that the club is a lifeline to them and do not like to miss the meeting, so I feel that it is a good outreach for Westham and the extended area. We also have a member who comes in a wheelchair and this in no problem to us. Also, some come with walkers and sticks.

We have recently had some new members, but can take a few more.

So please telephone Celia on 01305 772441 or Pam on 01305 780270.

Munch Club

A lunch club takes place for the over 50's. It is held every other Friday, with a break at Easter, during the summer and Christmas. It is an opportunity for members of the parish to get together for a communal meal.

It currently costs £4 for a 2 course meal with a drink.
